Welcome to my Wednesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm in the middle of my third week teaching on ten reasons it's better to have the ministry of the Holy Spirit than it is to have Jesus in his physical body here with us.

That sounds nearly like a blasphemous statement. But Jesus said that in John chapter 16 verse 7, he says,

he says it's expedient for you. It's to your advantage that I go away because if I don't go away, the Holy Spirit won't come.

He was saying it's better to have the ministry of the Holy Spirit than it is to have him in his physical body present with us.

Most people would disagree with that, but that's because we don't value the Holy Spirit the way that Jesus did.

So I've been talking about ten reasons. We're now on reason number seven and I haven't got time to go back through everything that I've already taught.

But today I just want to jump right into this. I was talking yesterday about the seventh reason that I've listed that it's better to have the ministry of the Holy Spirit is because of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

And I kind of got stuck on 1 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 7. It says the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit with all.

And yesterday I was really trying to emphasize that it's not only the clergy, it's not only a few people that have these gifts, these supernatural manifestations of God's power in them, but every single member of the body of Christ has been given a manifestation of the Holy Spirit.

So there's nine listed right here in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. I think that there's another seven listed over in Romans chapter 12.

And then in Ephesians chapter 5 there's the five full ministry gifts of apostle prophet of angelist pastor and teacher.

And you just need to recognize that there is a gifting on your life.

You know I had this experience with the Lord March 23rd 1968 where God rang my bell, revealed Himself to me and I tell you my life has never been the same.

And I started trying to witness to every person that I could and I just tried everything to find out what is it God that you want me to do.

And it's a long story. I hadn't got time to go into all of this but I was in a Baptist church and I was too radical for my Baptist people.
