The United Auto Workers Union contracts with the Big Three automakers is hours away from expiring and if they

don't reach a deal by midnight eastern tonight the Union will select the plants

and facilities at each company to go on strike. According to three sources briefed on the talks, both

sides are still far apart on negotiations. With a targeted strike, it's possible

that the companies will shut down operations and lay off members who are not technically on strike.

The UAW wants a 40% raise over four years, among other demands for workers at General Motors,

Ford and Stilantis.

Ford CEO Jim Farley says he's frustrated at how the UAW is handling negotiations.

Now I'm saying 40% will put us out of business.

We would lose 15 billion dollars. We would have to cut people, close

plants. What's the good of that? It's not a sustainable business. There's a fine

line here that we won't go past.

Hunter Biden's lawyer says he plans to fight three gun charges against the president's

son in court. The charges include making false statements on a federal gun form and

possession of a firearm as a prohibited person.

According to the indictment, Hunter Biden lied about being a drug user on a federal form

when he bought a gun in 2018 even though he was

battling a crack cocaine addiction. Hunter Biden's lawyer Abby Lowell blasted the

indictment as politically motivated on CNN's Aaron Burnett out front and called out the special
