Summary

In part two the settlers inside of Bryan's Station are bracing for an attack that they know is coming. Not long after, Simon Girty gets his revenge at the battle of Blue Licks, the last battle of the American Revolution. In 1896 a monument is built, and in 2019 it is repaired to its original luster. 0:39.0	two of the story of Brian Station titled Simon Simon Gurdie's Revenge.
0:45.2	As you recall from Part 1, the British attack on Brian Station, led by the ruthless Simon
0:49.9	Gurdie and his Indians, failed to breach the walls, and left over 30 dead Indians outside the fort.
0:55.8	The Indians, realizing that all this was costing them many lives and costing the British
0:59.8	and their Canadian Rangers nothing, were deciding whether or not to pull out. The settlers inside
1:05.1	Brian Station were expecting another attack and praying that the British would not be
1:09.2	receiving cannons because if they did that would mean the end of their settlement and for many of them their lives
1:16.3	Their one hope was reinforcements our story continues now the story of Brian Station 2, Simon Gertie's Revenge.
1:25.0	As the hours passed, they poured more rifle balls and wondered if the messengers they sent
1:31.4	had made it out. They did not know that the messengers
1:34.4	had made it to Lexington, but that Lexington's force had been decoyed out and was on its way to Hoy's
1:39.1	station. The messengers had continued on to Boone Station, which was near the site of present-day
1:45.4	Athens. That site, located on Jenfrey Road outside of Athens, was abandoned around 1786
1:51.7	when Boone moved to Mayville.
1:54.2	They were able to alert a force of 16 mounted men and 30 footmen under the command of Captain
1:58.8	Ellis and they made haste toward Brian's station.
2:02.7	When Daniel Boone received news of the siege of Brian Station the following day, he also
2:06.7	led a force from nearby Boonsboro toward Brian Station.
2:11.0	Meanwhile the Indians returned, this time trying to do all the damage they could while
2:15.0	staying out of the line of fire and labor with persistent energy to pick off centuries of
