Canada just did something that no one else has ever done.

Now, they have a dignity in death dying, assisted suicide, and a lot of countries do.

In the United States, it goes state to state. California has one,

a law that the doctors can assist you in suicide. Now, they can't actually physically,

they can prescribe, but they can't physically give you the medication. What they do, well, they can't,

well, let me put it this way. Let me go back on that.

What they can't do is actually physically give you the medication so it goes in your body.

I mean, they can prescribe the medication, you can get it in a pharmacy, but they can't, for example, insert it.

They can't give you the glass of the magic form that goes in and kills you.

So it's state to state.

California, Oregon, I think a couple of other states have it.

And so it all started, by the way, in the Netherlands, where people who are terminallyal

can, in fact, get this prescription and they buy themselves the drugs that they can kill

themselves with.

And California, I think, like many other states, is kind of weird.

It's not easy to do it.

You have to be diagnosed with a terminal illness. They're going to die within six months. Two doctors have to

okay that. They have to agree with that diagnosis. You have to verbally say, I'm going to kill myself,

and you have to be a decent mental state.

And then you have to physically do it yourself.

So, for example, if you have ALS, you can't do it because you don't have the physical ability to ingest the medicine.
