At noon Eastern time, the agency says it will reveal something new and exciting about the moon.

Details are few and speculation has run wild, but it's believed to be a discovery that will

relate to plans to send two astronauts there

for the Artemis program in 2024.

In other space news, last week's fist bump with Benu may have been a little too successful.

According to the mission's lead scientist,

Osiris Rex's robotic arm penetrated the asteroid so deeply and with such force

that it grabbed too much soil and rock.

Now its lid won't close and some of that precious cargo is drifting back out into space.

The O-Rex team is scrambling to put the sample container into the

return capsule as early as tomorrow sooner than planned for the long trip home.

Barring any surprises the nation will have a new Supreme Court justice sometime

tonight. The full Senate debated President Trump's nomination of Amy Koney

Barrett over the weekend and a vote to confirm

is expected later today. The results will likely fall along party lines with

most Democrats opposed and most Republicans in favor.

If she's approved, she'll be sworn in before the end of the week.
