Good morning and welcome the kid news. I'm Tori. Today is Friday, October 23rd,

2020 and we begin with Time magazine doing something it hasn't done ever in its

97 year history. The publication dropped its famous

logo in favor of another four-letter word vote and under the new slogan is a

drawing of a person wearing a face covering bandana,

all of it red, white, and blue, with a ballot box square in the middle.

Neither presidential candidate is mentioned or featured in the design. The artist behind the cover

says he created it to represent the power that each of us has when we

participate in the political process. The historic logo change is temporary and can be seen on

time's most recent issue. The second and final presidential debate is now in the

books and by and large the new format worked.

The 90 minute back and forth was a feisty but civilized affair with fewer interruptions

and a better focus on the issues, including the pandemic, foreign interference in our

election, health care, climate change, and race relations.

Who won?

For sure, the moderator, NBC's Kristen Welker, kept both candidates in line and the debate moving

and productive.

As far as the two men actually running, that's up to the American people.

And they'll have their say 11 days from now on Tuesday, November 3rd.

After a pretend travel day, the Rays and Dodgers take the field again tonight for game

three of the World Series.
