2019 and we begin with a dog of a different color and a bird of a very fine

feather.

In Colorado, a mama Great Dane just gave birth to nine puppies and one of them arrived sporting

deep green fur.

It's happened before, but only a handful of times around the world.

The headline grabbing hue is due to a chemical in the body called Biliverton, which is the green

pigment found in liver fluid.

Sometimes, as in this case, the Bill of

Verden dies the pup a shamrock shade while in the mom's womb. It's not

dangerous and although cool to look at, eventually fades over time.

2,000 miles away in Florida,

it's the blush of a bird making news.

A teacher in Port St. Lucy found a cardinal in her backyard.

Not the Garden Variety Red One, a one and a million yellow one.

She's photographed it and nicknamed it sunny.

Bird experts say they've only documented 12 in the entire United States.

Sometime today, two astronauts are scheduled to take that much-hiked and long overdue all-female

walk in space.
