And we begin with an earworm of a song getting credit for a team's unexpected success in the post season.

The Washington Nationals are headed to the World Series for the first time in franchise history.

And for that, fans and players alike are tipping their hat to Baby Shark.

300,000 kids in Chicago get to play hooky today.

The city's mayor canceled all classes ahead of an expected strike by school teachers.

At issue, a demand for higher pay, smaller class sizes, and more support staff.

The teachers also want social change, like help for the nearly 17,000 students who are homeless

and additional funding for affordable housing.

the union's president has alerted parents to prepare for the walkout.
