And we begin with what could be the most destructive storm to hit Florida's panhandle

in decades, now within hours of arrival.

Forecasters say Hurricane Michael will slam ashore, possibly as a category four storm,

near Panama City Beach this afternoon.

And whereas Hurricane Florence took five days to strengthen,

Michael ramped up in just two,

giving coastal residents precious little time to pack up and leave.

High winds, heavy rain, and what could be a 12 foot storm surge are expected.

Once Michael moves over the panhandle, forecasters say it will likely head east and dump rain on the already waterlogged Carolinas.

In business news, Fortnite players take note.

Epic Games, the company that injected Battle Royale, Rocket Rodeo, and the Floss into everyday language,

just bought an anti-cheating software company.

The reason, to make sure its games stay fun, fair, and competitive for all players.

If you don't think Epic is serious, the company has already sued at least

two gamers for cheating and one of them is reportedly only 14.

In political news, why and why now?

That's the question just about everyone in the nation's capital is asking following the shocking

resignation of the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

Nicky Haley will leave her post by the end of this year.

She wouldn't say why, just that it's time for a change, nor would she comment on the timing of her announcement, which comes just weeks before the midterm elections.
