when the Prime Minister faced calls to sack the UK's ambassador in Washington, Lord Mandelson,

over his relationship with the sex offender, Geoffrey Epstein.

The Prime Minister has an ambassador mired in scandal, not focusing on NATO.

But first, the Prime Minister has been challenged to say what he knew about the friendship

between Lord Mandelson and the convicted paedophile Geoffrey Epstein when he appointed

the former Labour Cabinet Minister as the UK's ambassador to the United States.

Sakeir Starmar told the Commons he had confidence in the ambassador after a group of American

politicians released documents which revealed that 20 years ago Peter Mandelson described

Epstein as his best pal. In an interview with the son, Peter Mandelson called the note

very embarrassing and said he regretted his

relationship with Epstein very, very deeply. At Prime Minister's questions, the Conservative leader,

Kemi Baitnock, said the ambassador was mired in scandal. A NATO country has just had to defend itself
