And we begin with Tom Cruise, apparently losing the race to film the first movie in space.

Yesterday morning, a Russian actress and film crew joined legitimate cosmonauts as they

launched aboard a Soyuz rocket from the country of Kazakhstan.

Their destination, the International Space Station, where they'll spend 12 days shooting scenes

for a major motion picture called the challenge.

According to Russian media, it'll be about a doctor shot to the ISS to save the life of

a cosmonaut and real-life expedition 65 crew members will have some sort of role.

Russia's celestial schedule beats by a galactic mile Mr. Cruise's plans to produce a 200

million dollar space-based action adventure with the help of NASA and SpaceX, sources say

the American A-lister still plans to make the trip and begin production possibly before

the end of this year.

There are all sorts of tests kids in the US need to pass to move on to the next grade.

In China though, those assessments aren't just academic.

According to the Wall Street Journal, grade school students there must also prove they're

good at jumping rope.

The National Jump rope exam is given annually to kids from first to sixth grade and a certain

number of skips per minute is required to pass.

Those that do get into better schools and those that excel are eligible for scholarships.
