In our continuing story of Saul and David in First Samuel,

we are at a point where Saul finds himself in a real dilemma.

In chapter 28, there is a huge army of Philistines that is amassing with the intention of

attacking Israel.

As we join John for our study today,

we will find out how Saul got in this predicament

and what he does about it.

With the story and the application for us, here now is Pastor John.

First Samuel chapter 28, Saul, as you recall, was seriously stressed.

The reason was the Philistines, the enemies of Israel had

mobilized their massive armies and had pretty much boxed in the army of Israel.

Israel was in trouble militarily.
