For St. Paul says, imitate me just as I also imitate Christ.

It's because he's just been saying, this is how I've, he's returning that idea.

This is how you've seen me when I lived with you.

This is how you've seen me act.

Right.

He says, so you do that too, right?

Not because, again, St. Paul's so great, going all the way back to the beginning of

1st Corinthians, right?

It's not that St. Paul setting himself up as an example.

It's because St. Paul is trying to imitate Christ.

So he's saying, when you do this that you've seen me do, you're not imitating me, you're

imitating Christ, you're being like Christ, you're being like your Lord, you're being like God

when you do this.

So chapter 11, verse 2, we enter into the non-controversial portion of this evening. Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you.

Can you already tell what St. Paul is doing?

By the way, he changed his mode of speech.

Yes, he's buttering them up.
