Okay, so we'll go ahead and get started.

And when we get started here, in just a minute we'll be picking up in St. Paul's first epistle to the Corinthians chapter 10, verse 23.

And just to get us caught up a little, we're sort of smack in the middle of a discussion

by St. Paul related to primarily things now surrounding the Eucharist, surrounding communion, surrounding the liturgy,

although he's been talking about a lot of related topics as well.

And part of what we'll be talking about as we go through tonight is sort of how these things fit together. it could sort of seem like well he's talking about the eucharist and then he goes and talks

about something else that doesn't seem to be related then he goes back to talking about the

euchrist again then he goes and talks about something right it's sort of it's like he's bouncing back and

forth but there there is actually a flow to his argument that I think will come out as we sort of go

through it in sequence. As I mentioned before, we're used to reading a lot of times we read the

Bible sort of in these chunks. And that could be helpful because you have to know the individual pieces in order to

understand the whole thing. But also in order to really see what a puzzle is about, you need

the picture on the box, right? Not just all the pieces. So you have to have both. You have to

have an idea of the parts and an idea of the whole.

So we'll be getting, Lord willing, some more of that, the whole as we go through tonight.

And so last time, there was a lot.

But just to sort of briefly, briefly catch us up,
