This is CBS I on the World, I'm John Bachelor. I welcome Henry Sikalski, my

colleague, he is the executive director of the Non-Deliferation Policy

Education Center. You will recall in the news in these last days,

Microsoft, one of the major corporations of the solar system, has committed itself in some

fashion to Three Mile Island. That is the famous three mile

island of the 20th century and an accident that frightened everyone about

nuclear power. Well Microsoft is not frightened because part of the plants still produces electricity and

Microsoft is eager for that guarantee for its data centers.

Data centers as your reading require a great deal of power

and that will be increasingly demand

on the electric grids nationally and globally for the balance of this century.

However, there's more to this than just Microsoft in Pennsylvania.

It would appear from Barons and the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times that suddenly

nuclear power is back in vogue, not only vogue, but they're waiting for determination, is nuclear power green so that the ESG firms, such

as pensions and insurance companies, can invest in it?

This is the same old story of nuclear power. Is it a risk or is it a

benefit? Where are we in this argument globally, Henry? Good evening to you.
