Defensive Democracies, continue our conversation about the war directed against Israel by

Tehran. The brain of the against Israel by Tehran.

The arms are Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis.

What remains of the Syrian regime is hostile.

And then there, of course, are the ballistic missiles and drones fired from Iran at Israel these last months.

However, we begin with a headline from Jerusalem that requires interpretation by David

Diyud.

Hamas showing some readiness, that's in quotes, to agree to a long ceasefire extension.

Israeli source says, David, a very good evening to you.

The ceasefire ended, but it remains de facto, and now they're talking about a long ceasefire.

The hostages were to be returned now, I believe.

The U.S. has made remarks through the president now.

Israel is indicated now. So what has changed? What is happening about the

hostages? Good evening to you, David. Good evening, John. I mean, negotiations, as far as I know,

are still ongoing. There's probably a battle of egos here going on. Obviously, President Trump

has put his reputation on the line saying,

you know, Shalom Hamas, either you get the hostages out and you follow my terms,

or I think he reiterated his threat that there will be held to pay. On the other hand,

Hamas can't appear to buckle under American instructions or Diktax, as they would put it.

They can't appear to be giving into American pressure because right now they're thinking, yes, they've lost this war.
