The Challenge of the Indo-Pacific, vast canvas oceania,

and the threat is the People's Republic of China's PLA Navy,

a very large and growing body of warships along with the air

element of the PLA Air Force and all the ground forces and the missile forces.

All of that is in the immediate future we're

told by a number of very informed voices in the Pentagon and elsewhere and

think tanks. To prepare for that requires thinking ahead of what

the threats are and the new solutions. You see Ukraine where there's a wide and

commonplace and now accepted use of drones,

unmanned aerial vehicles for attack, for surveillance, and for pursuit.

The same thinking looks to be going on in the water on the surface

underwater and in the air and I welcome someone who's informed me a great deal

about this over the years but I was not prepared for I welcome
