Van N. D.I. Graduate School of Government at Hillsdale College, Washington, D.C., is the author most recently of Progressivism, the Strange History of a Radical Idea.

He's a senior fellow of the Claremont Institute, a matter of fact in the essay we're about to address, a review of a new book.
