And we begin with what could be a first, a pro football player up and quit at halftime.

Buffalo Bill's veteran cornerback, Vonte Davis,

played the first half against the chargers on Sunday.

Then at halftime, told his teammates and his coach he was done retiring right then and there

Davis changed and left the stadium fellow players aren't happy they say Davis

disrespected them and the game. The 30-year-old

says he meant no disrespect, but he just decided his body couldn't take it

anymore. He wasn't playing up to his own standards and it was time to walk away from football for good.

In other sports news, they're calling it a time that will be remembered for decades.

An Olympic champion from Kenya just set a new world record for the 26.2 mile

marathon. His time, just two hours, one minute and 39 seconds. That beat the old record by more than a minute and

that's an improvement that hasn't been seen in 50 years. Another tech billionaire

is moving into journalism.

Salesforce CEO Mark Bennyoff and his wife just purchased Time magazine for $190 million.

The magazine's editor-in-chief says the couple will

provide guidance in rebuilding the company but that it will operate

independently or without influence from Mr. Benneoff's software business.

Still there will be questions about a Silicon Valley Titan taking over a magazine

that frequently covers technology and its impact on society.

Five years ago, another tech billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos

raised eyebrows by buying the Washington Post for $250 million.
