And we begin with the State of Texas voting to scrub Hillary Clinton and Helen Keller from its history lessons.

The Board of Education said kids there have too much to learn as it is,

and they had to streamline someplace.

Mrs. Clinton, the former First Lady, Secretary of State, and First Female Major Party

Presidential candidate was deemed non-essential or not important.

As was Helen Keller, who despite being born deaf and blind,

went on to graduate college and become an artist and author.

On the flip side, references to evangelist Billy Graham were left in.

To be clear, textbooks won't change, just lesson plans. A final vote is scheduled for November.

Move over helicopter moms.

The new school year has ushered in a whole new breed known as lawnmower parents.

The term is the brainchild of a middle school teacher called

to the office to pick up something a dad dropped off for his child. The teacher thought

it was a forgotten essential, like an inhaler, backpack, or lunch.

Instead, it was an insulated water bottle, because the child texted Dad that she just couldn't

drink from a water fountain for an entire day.

The teacher's blog post went viral with the following definition.

Lawnmower parents are those willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to prevent their child

from having to face adversity, struggle, or failure. Instead of preparing children

for challenges, they mow obstacles down so kids won't experience them in the first place.

Right country, wrong billionaire.
