And we begin with what is probably a surprise to almost no one.

Teens prefer to text their friends rather than talk to them.

According to a new study by common sense media,

only a third of kids still prefer face-to-face conversation.. The rest two-thirds would rather

communicate online. Other telling notes only 15% of teens say Facebook is

their favorite social media app, down from 70% just six years ago.

If they still use Facebook, some say it's probably to talk to grandma and grandpa.

The eyes of the high-tech world are fixed below ground today. This

morning Apple will do its big hotly anticipated reveal in the super secret underground Steve jobs theater on its

California campus. Among the expected announcements a new set of iPhone

tens with bigger screens. the 10's fancy features being added to the rest of its

smartphone line, and improvements to its Apple Watch and AirPods as well.

By this time tomorrow morning Tropical pods as Florence powers its way toward shore. Right now landfall is expected late

Thursday or early Friday, first in the Carolinas and then up the coast in

Virginia. Inland flooding is also possible in parts of six other states.

If the forecast holds, Florence could be the strongest storm to make landfall anywhere on the East Coast since 1992.
