There is wonderful opportunity in this day because Jesus Christ lives.

And he lives in you if you're a follower of Christ. I hope that doesn't sound

hypy. I hope that doesn't sound like pie in the sky too good to be true. If it does I

want to challenge you to consider that the word of God, the scripture, speaks of that reality repeatedly.

Over and over and over there are hundreds of times that the New Testament mentions that Christ is in you

and you are in Christ because of the faith you've placed in him and so that means that every day that you wake up, every day

God has you on the planet, there is incredible opportunity that you have the ability to be a part of you have the ability to walk alongside

God in what he is doing and see God-sized things happen and when I say size, that doesn't mean it's this fantastical, huge,

tremendous thing that everybody notices. In fact, it's quite the contrary sometimes.

Sometimes the God's size thing is a change in attitude

that happens in you and is quiet and it's small and no one else really notices it

immediately but it's significant. and no one else really notices it immediately.

But it's significant because it's the changing of perhaps a lifelong pattern of thinking or

feeling or behavior and it is truly a God-sized thing that happens

because he is present in your life and you are submitting yourself to the truth of what he reveals to you.

And that's what we've been talking about in Closians chapter 3, verse number 16, where

Paul says let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.

When we take the time to ponder God's word

and to think about it and let it shape us,

those God-sized things happen in us. We become more of what Christ

has done for us by giving us a new identity. We come into alignment with that new identity.

And we cast off the old and we replace it with the new and we're then able to start living
