Hey, I am so excited to talk to you this morning on this morning mindset edition because of what we're going to be talking about.

0:08.0

There are some cool ideas we're going to read from Colosians chapter 3 today.

0:13.8

We're going to be in verse 17.

0:14.8

So if you want to grab a Bible or open up your Bible app,

0:17.6

whatever you have, I want you to read this.

0:20.5

I want you to see it and not just hear it from me. Now let me make a

0:24.1

caveat there. If you're driving, if you're on the treadmill, don't try to do

0:29.2

this while you're doing those kinds of activities, all right? but the idea is I want this to

0:34.4

penetrate you in as many ways as possible either by hearing it which you're gonna

1:00.0

app? Can you turn the pages of an actual Bible and look at this for yourself as we talk

1:05.8

about it. This is Colossians chapter 3 verse 17 and Paul the apostle has been

1:11.6

inspired by God to tell us a lot of things that flow out of the truth

1:16.7

that we have a new identity in Christ as his holy ones, as his chosen ones, as his beloved

1:22.2

ones.

1:23.0

Okay, and he's saying there's all these things that flow out of us that we need to be

1:26.7

mindful of and watch for as the spirit prompts them in us.

1:30.8

And here right at the end of this section of Colaitions chapter 3, he gives us kind of an overarching statement.

1:37.7

He says, and whatever you do, whatever you do in word or indeed. So you get that whatever you do, whether you speak it or

1:49.6

or there's something you actually do. Here's his instruction, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,

1:59.1

giving thanks to God the Father through him.
