And we begin this morning with a super popular football player making it into the record books.

ago in Hurricane Harvey Batter, Texas, Houston's J.J. Waughts stepped up to raise money for the victims. His

goal was $200,000, but he ended up with more than $41.6 million in

donations, which is a world record for a crowdsourcing effort. Why distributed the money to more than a half dozen charities,

including Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children,

and the Boys and Girls Clubs.

Remember the little girl who had two birthday wishes, one to meet Drake, and the other for a new heart?

Well, now both wishes have come true.

11-year-old Sophia Sanchez found out Sunday that she be in surgery

Monday, yesterday for the transplant. Her recovery is expected to take six to

eight weeks. Services honoring the life of Senator John McCain begin tomorrow in Arizona

before moving on to Washington, D.C. later in the week.

On Friday Hill, lie in state at the U.S. Capitol and on Saturday a

procession from the Capitol will pass the Vietnam Veterans Wall on its way to the

National Cathedral. In a nod to bipartisanship, former Presidents Barack Obama, a Democrat, and George Bush,

a Republican, will speak at the Memorial Service and the tribute will be televised live. On Sunday, Senator McCain will be laid to rest at the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery

next to his lifelong best friend and former Admiral Chuck Larson.
