shortage of one very important back-to-school item. Not everyone needs it, but for those who do,

it is life-saving.

We're talking about the epipen some kids need

for severe allergies.

Refilling the prescription is an August ritual for parents as they

restock backpacks and nurses offices for the new school year. But manufacturing

problems mean pharmacies don't have enough to go around and may not have enough for another month.

The Food and Drug Administration is extending the expiration date on old epipens and rival injection makers are upping production to help fill the gap.

People from all over the country will descend on Washington DC this week to pay respects

to one of the most powerful politicians of the past 30 years.

Senator John McCain was a Vietnam War hero, Maverick Republican, and two-time presidential candidate.

He served in Congress for more than 30 years before passing away this weekend.

McCain will lie in state, a rare and formal honor given to only the most respected government and military leaders.

The tribute will take place in the Capitol Rotunda, which is directly below the dome of the U.S.

Capitol, and is considered the symbolic and physical heart of the

congressional building.

A principal in New Jersey is making news for what he did outside the classroom.

Akbar Cook found out that some of his students miss school repeatedly because their clothes

were dirty and with no washer or dryer at home, they had no easy way to clean them. Embarrassment kept

them from class.

Principal Cook stepped in, applied for a grant, and turned an old locker room into a free
