Louis Walker has cystic fibrosis, which is a disease that damages the lungs and makes it hard to breathe.

A new treatment called Orkambi is reportedly working wonders for Louise, but it costs more than a hundred

thousand dollars a year. So Louise wrote to Vertex, the company that makes it,

begging Vice President Rebecca Hunt to lower the cost.

In the letter that's now gone viral,

Louis says,

you have the medicine that makes me feel better

and not have to spend so much time in the hospital.

If your son had cystic fibrosis, I know you would lower the price. Hundreds of other patients are now expected to join Louise in the letter writing campaign.
