views. In Vermont a 14-year-old just took a big plunge into

political waters. High school freshman Ethan Sonborn wasn't interested in

student body president.

His sites were set on the governor's mansion.

Vermont doesn't have an age restriction,

so he gathered signatures and donations,

made it into the state's primary,

and on Tuesday, received more than 4,000 votes.

It wasn't enough to keep him in the running for the general election in November,

but Ethan isn't discouraged. He says it's the participating, not the winning. That's important.
