And we begin with a moment of great sportsmanship going viral.

It happened yesterday in the first inning of a little league world championship qualifier.

A pitch got away from Caden Shelton of Texas

came in high and hard and sent Oklahoma batter Isaiah Jarvis down in a heap.

After a few frightening moments, Isaiah dusted himself off and made his way to first.

Only to realize the pitcher was still visibly shaken up and struggling to regroup.

Isaiah called time, jogged to the mound and gave the ace who just

beamed him in the helmet, a bear hug, told him he was doing great and not to worry.

The video is trending with comments like this is what sportsmanship is all about.

And while the batter has won the hearts of millions,

it was the pitcher's team that won the game.

The little league world series begins August 17th in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

In France overnight, extraordinary rescue efforts to save a wayward whale.

As we reported on Monday, a beluga has wandered up the San River,

thousands of miles from its normal Arctic home near Norway.

It's skinnier than it should be and still won't eat,

but reportedly did get a boost from an injection of vitamins and antibiotics.

According to the Wall Street Journal last night, about 80 people,

including divers and firefighters, were planning to lift the beluga using a special hammock,

then move it by barge and refrigerated truck to assault water basin,
