Tomorrow, NASA launches the Parker Solar Probe on an historic mission to touch the sun.

Parker will be the first spacecraft to fly through the sun's Corona, which is the outermost part of its atmosphere.

The mission will take it within 3.8 million miles of the sun's surface, which is seven times

closer than any probe has ever been. It sounded better on paper.

Within days of announcing it, Reservation Giant,

Airbnb, cancelled a contest to win an overnight,

mostly outdoor stay on the Great Wall of China.

Critics worried about possible damage to the site,

while those in the no question the wisdom of an open-air sleepover given a heat and abundant mosquito population.
