And we begin with residents of Coastal Louisiana bracing for what could become the first hurricane of this season.

Sometime today, the weather system that's churning in the Gulf of Mexico

is expected to turn into tropical storm Berry

before possibly strengthening to a hurricane with a

predicted landfall on Saturday. Already though he's making his presence known.

Intense thunderstorms delivered almost a foot of rain to New Orleans before noon yesterday,

prompting some drivers to trade their cars for canoes.

One man even posted a picture of a goldfish swimming on a sidewalk. The flash flooding is just the beginning of what's expected to be a wild and wet weekend in the region.

Oil rigs have already been evacuated and the governor of Louisiana has declared a state of emergency.

Imagine writing your name on a piece of paper knowing it may save thousands of lives.

Yesterday President Trump signed what's called an executive order

to help the 30 million Americans suffering from kidney disease.

The changes call for better prevention and earlier intervention,

but most notably will make it easier for healthy people to donate one of their two kidneys to someone in need

by covering more of their expenses. Healthy people can live fine with just one.

The executive order will also increase the odds that these organs get to the sick people

who need them in time. Close to 100,000 people in the US are currently waiting for a

kidney. If you need proof that even adults make mistakes, look no further than Tuesday night's All-Star game in Cleveland.

While players were error-free on the field, those working the scoreboard weren't quite as lucky.
