When we begin, with a good sign for the movie business, over the weekend, the US debut

of F-9, the latest in the Fast and Furious series, raked in $70 million in box office receipts.

That's the highest amount for any movie release since the coronavirus pandemic.

The hit films release was well timed with a country-wide loosening of COVID-related restrictions.

As of this past weekend, 80% of North American theaters are now open according to data from

CommScore.

In the next few weeks, Hollywood will release other blockbuster features like Jungle
