Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Kim. Today is Monday the 1st of June,

2026. And we begin with a major U.S. airport about to debunk rumors that it houses lizard people

in an underground lair.

Since Denver International opened in 1995, its off-limits baggage handling tunnels have fueled

wild theories about a subterranean world of aliens, elite bunkers, and secret societies.

Adding to the chatter, the airport's towering blue Mustang sculpture that welcomes flyers with glowing red eyes and is nicknamed Blucifer.

Now, airport officials want those conspiracy theorists to take a walk, a literal walk,

because the baggage maze will

soon be transformed into a pedestrian thoroughfare, allowing passengers to bypass the train

and hoof it between terminals. As Denver mayor, Mike Johnston said in a statement,

Travelers will finally get a chance to decide for themselves what's fact and what's fiction.

Construction begins next year.
