| 1:36.0 | It's like my favorite so having a podcast is excellent because I get to try things out and then talk about them. So today we've kind of dove into this is a high dose melatonin experiment. |
| 1:46.0 | I'm on day 37. I'm kind of coming off the high does just testing it out. So we did this over the past the past month basically all of April for me. I was testing out high does melatonin to see what it was going to do. |
| 2:00.0 | And the reason I even started this Kyle. I don't know if I told you this. |
| 2:03.0 | But a long time ago I did a 23 and me test, you know that genetic test. Oh, yeah. |
| 2:08.0 | And so it came back and it said that I have a seven times more likelihood. I'm seven times more likely to get and develop Alzheimer's than the average person. |
| 2:19.0 | Um, fast forward to like this year. My grandma is like pretty quickly devolving into like having some serious cognitive issues. |
| 2:28.0 | Memory slipping. Can't remember anything short term. So like not only is that like something that I've heard about, but it's also I can see happening my family. It's a really it's super scary. |
| 2:37.0 | Yeah, so I always thought about Alzheimer's. I've always been like, how do you like avoid those sorts of things. |
| 2:42.0 | Um, and so I was, I was following a guy on Instagram, Dante Trudel, um, he's old school bodybuilder guy very, very scientifically based. He's a he runs trunetrition.com. |
| 2:52.0 | He's got a lot, he's got a lot of like stuff right. And he mentioned a study where they were talking about melatonin reducing, um, the like the prevalence of Alzheimer's. Okay. So these, I'm keep in mind these are all rodent studies too. |
| 3:07.0 | So I did the first human study. Probably not. You're the first one ever, right? That's right. Yeah. Okay. Perfect. I'm the first, I'm the first human. You were brave. The brave soul to do it. The brave soul to test themselves sleeping. |
| 3:20.0 | I was like, I wonder if I'm going to sleep really good right now. Really want good sleep. I'm going to test my, this is in the name of science. |
| 3:26.0 | So I was kind of cool. Is there testing this like melatonin on on rats and mice. And what they saw was that, um, like there's like, there's all they have all this data. I'm looking at some of the data. I am not a scientist. I'm not like, I'm not the number one best person to be like reading studies and being like, here's exactly what's going on. So, um, I'm looking at the best I can. |
| 3:47.0 | By the way, I'm not a doctor either. Kyle, you doctor. I'm definitely not a doctor. So don't do anything that we're talking about this episode. Yeah. Since we're not doctors, I cannot tell you that you should be trying this out yourself. I don't know if you want to, I don't want the long term effects are, but all I'm going to do is tell you some stuff. And you, you as a, as a sovereign person, you go make your own choices. You live your life. |
