In the era of the smartphone that we're living in, I know many moms are concerned that kids aren't going to know basic manners and etiquette, common courtesy, conversation skills.

Our kids are going to know how to look people in the eye and talk with them and genuinely show other people through our body language and words that we care about them.

This is a very valid concern of all mothers, but I do think that there's so much that we as moms can do to teach our kids these important skills.

First of all, obviously with modeling and the way that we conduct ourselves and treat other people.

Secondly, also through explicit teaching of these principles of courtesy and etiquette and how to have a conversation.

This is perhaps more important now than ever because of the smartphone epidemic in our country.

And we have a guest on the podcast today who is going to teach us how to teach our kids how to have truly genuine manners and consideration for the people around us.
