kid news good morning and welcome the kid news I I'm Tori. Today is Friday, May 24th, 2019.

And we begin with two young sisters helping to pay off the lunch bills of their friends.

13-year-old hager and her 11-year-old Haley Hager and her 11-year-old sister Hannah

are steering up lemonade in their North Carolina town

in order to make a dent in the district's

41,000-dollar cafeteria debt.

The idea started with their mom who challenged the girls to complete

a random act of kindness. At first, the money went toward the homeless, then to hospice,

and now to pay off outstanding lunch bills.

Haley and Hannah have already knocked off their own school's $3,100 tab by combining their

lemonade stand with an online donation site. Next they'll tackle the rest of the district's

debt, a $5 glass of lemonade and an occasional hot dog at a time. The backside

of a week-long wild spring storm system was even worse than the front.
