And we begin with history being made atop the highest mountain in the world.

A Sherpa by the name of Kami Rita just broke his own record by climbing to the top of Mount Everest for the 24th time.

Not only that, he scaled the 29,000 foot peak two times in just one week.

For most people, tackling Everest requires years of training and is a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list

kind of idea.

Even for Sherpas who are renowned for their mountaineering

skills to climb it two dozen times and twice in one week is unheard of. And Rita's not

done yet, he says he's got one more attempt in him, his 25th, and then he'll pack it in and retire.

Mount Everest straddles the border of Nepal and China, and is open for adventures only in May when there's a small window of good weather

during which climbing is possible. Three minutes. That's how long a meeting between

President Trump and Democratic congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer

lasted before talks fell apart.

On yesterday's agenda, a $2 trillion plan to rebuild and repair the nation's infrastructure, things like airports, roads, and bridges.

But before they even got to the topic at hand, the two sides started throwing insults at each

other.

Mrs. Pelosi accused the president of a cover-up, the president lambasted Congress for phony

investigations and then stormed out. No word yet on when either side will return to the bargaining

table.

Just another example from the sporting world why you should never give up. On January 3rd of this year, the St. Louis Blues hockey team had the worst record in the

NHL. In just over four months they went

from worst to first becoming the Western Conference Champions on Tuesday.
