Here is a fun one that I don't know if there is a case or not.

How many Mexican restaurants do you know in your area that have Taco Tuesdays?

Everyone I know has a Taco Tuesday.

So there is a lawsuit that Taco Bell filed, and it's with the U.S.

Patent and Trademark Office, seeking to end the trademark Taco Tuesday.

Now, wait a second.

It's common usage.

Isn't it available to everybody?

It describes a Tuesday in Mexican food.

It has been trademarked.

It's been trademarked by a small, a very small Mexican restaurant 30 years ago.

And now Taco Bell, by the way, it's actually a smaller taco chain called Taco Johns.

And that was 34 years ago, the Taco Tuesday was trademark.

And what Taco Bell is doing is saying, no, no, no. And of course, you know, Taco John has not

done anything. It's not like a cease and desist yet. But Taco Bell wants this, that wants a phrase Taco's Tuesday just to become generic and no

longer trademark.

And the trademark department can take it off.

The trademark office can say, take it back and go, it's now such common usage that it can't

be limited anymore.

That's like Coca-Cola trademark trademarking Coca-Cola, and then asking that the word cola be part of it,

and you cannot trademark the word cola.
