This is Handel on the Law, marginal legal advice, where I tell you you have absolutely no case.

There is, this is L.A. County we're talking about now, where I happen to habitate.

It's, there's always been a problem. This goes across the country, too, and that is cash bail.

And that's typically what bail is. One is arrested.

You come in, you're held in custody, and then there is a bail hearing or there's an immediate

bail amount that has been set. You know, for example, you get a traffic ticket or whatever.

They arrest you. There's an inswell. there was in the one case where I was actually arrested

when I was 19 years old and I think I've told the story. Like an idiot, I ignored a court date

on a traffic ticket. This is why I always tell you, do not ignore court dates ever, ever. Do not ignore court dates ever, ever do not ignore any kind of a court summons or court documents.

So I did.

And I got popped.

I was jaywalking.

And, of course, they ran my driver's license.

And there was warrant for my arrest.

And off to jail, I was hauled.

And I just went through.

I didn't go in prison or anything or behind bars.

They just processed me,

fingerprinted me, did the mugshot. I paid $100, which is what the bail was. And then I left.

However, when you get arrested for something a little more serious, you get put into the pokey.

I don't know where the hell they ever came up with that term. And then there's a bail hearing.
