Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Monday, October 8th, 2018. This week on the Catholic Sprouts

podcast, we have some pretty important work to attend to. We are going to spend this week

getting to know the nature of Jesus Christ. Now, of course, you know that you're Christian

and you know that Jesus is important, but do you know how important he is? Well, here is how

important he is. Every single thing that we believe and profess as part of our faith was either revealed in Jesus or through Jesus.

Now, as you might know, as catholics have something called the catechism the catechism is not the bible however it is teachings passed down and developed over years and years of our faith it is things that people have looked into and really developed

so that we might have some guiding principles and rules as we strive to become more holy.

All of the things in that book were revealed in or through Jesus.

They have to do with things that he said, have to do with things the ways that he acted.

There are certain subjects in the catechism that Christ never directly addresses in the Bible. And yet after prayerful study,

realize that Jesus only appears in the second half of the Bible. The first half of the Bible,
