Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Friday, October 5th, 2018. It is also the feast day of St. Faustina.

0:28.8

This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we have been talking about trust. We learned how to trust from St. Faustina. We were reminded that God knows us and is always with us

0:43.0

through our guardian angels. We talked about Eve in the garden and how her mistrust of God led to

0:51.1

the first sin. We also looked at the example of St. Francis of Assisi and were reminded that

0:57.9

we need to trust God, even when it seems crazy and especially when we can't see the whole plan.

Today, with the help of St. Faustina, we are going to learn that it is super important that we trust that God will

divine mercy. Have you ever seen the image of the divine mercy?

2:03.2

Maybe you have.

2:04.7

The images of Jesus.

2:06.9

He is calling us forward with one hand and touching his heart with the other hand.

2:12.7

And from his heart, light rays are shooting forth.

2:17.0

Half of those light rays are blue and the other half

2:20.3

are red. Now what does this mean? Jesus, the blue is the water that gushed forth from the side of Christ,

2:28.9

and the red is the blood that gushed forth. The message that St. Faustina received from Jesus and tries very

2:37.6

hard to remind us of is that Jesus is the fountain of mercy, that Jesus is waiting and desiring

2:47.1

to forgive us for all of our sins. the only thing we need to do to achieve that forgiveness
