And today I'm really, really pleased to say that I've got,

and I'm sitting down with the amazing Danny Mo Morris.

Danny Mo Morris has been teaching at Berkeley since 1988.

Now, when I say Berkeley, I mean the prestigious Berkeley College of Music based in Boston.

He's been one of the longest serving bass faculty members there.

So you can only imagine who his students have been.

In fact, in this interview, he talks about Esperandus Baldwin, actually actually who has been one of his past students.

Now Danny is a great player. He's one of my really of the last few years, one of the biggest

inspirations in what I've been doing and what I've been building on for my base playing

because I've been really looking at my base playing because I've been really

looking at those old school players and Danny's really, you know, he's got that thing going on, man,

he's got that James James Jameson, the duck done, he's got just that thing, that old school

funk vibe, you know, he's just dripping in funk. That sounds pretty weird, doesn't it? But, you know, he's just, he's, he's just dripping in funk. Um, that sounds pretty weird, doesn't it? Yeah. But, you know, he's a seriously funky dude. And I saw him on YouTube, actually. That's the first place I saw Danny. It just blew me away. And I, I, I, I, I, I, I've, I've, I've just got to get you involved in Scott's Bass lessons in some way.

And from then he's gone on to do countless live seminars for the Academy members.
