Hey guys, how's it going? Scott here again with another episode of the SBL podcast and I'm super over

the moon to announce that this week we've got an amazing guest, the one and only Cody Wright. Now,

as I told you in last at the end of last week's podcast, I've been aware of Cody, probably for the last two or three years.

The first time I heard him,

my eyes literally popped out on stalks. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He's just such a talented player. He actually plays exclusively with a pick, with a plectrum, which makes him, you know,

quite unique. And he's got a really, you know, just such a funky vibe as well.

If you're, if you're aware of the bass player Bobby Vega, it's that kind of style.

But Cody really brings his own thing to it as well.

He's got some advanced harmony going on.

It's really, really cool.

He has taught internationally with

the likes of jonathan scales the jonathan scales forecastra um and the he's gigging now with the

eric gales band both fantastic bands by the way i'll put links and videos of these guys in the show notes

Well, in fact, Cody's got his base in this interview. So you're going to hear a bit of him

playing anyway. Now, the crazy thing is in this interview, and you'll hear

Cody tell us about this when I'm interviewing him, is that Cody started playing bass when he got

a gig playing bass. He was a guitar player beforehand, and he got offered a really great gig,

but he wasn't a bass player at the time and started playing bass

to start gigging with that band, which actually was the Jonathan Scales Forcester.

How crazy is that?
