Here is an interesting one, and this has to do with the Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles International Airport.

Now, this is where I live and I go through LAX all the time whenever I leave.

So, going to a Chinese restaurant to me is, you know, sweet and sour pork and it's

fried rice and it's dumplings and, you know, all the normal stuff that people eat at Chinese

restaurants. My guess is you don't do a lot of goose and duck intestines food-wise.

But Chinese people do.

So six people were arrested in New York, this is this week, on charges of illegally importing

goose and duck intestines from China.

I guess big market for that.

Hiding them under packaged rattlesnakes.

Hmm.

It's a good combination, right?

Mislabeling them as pet grooming products on customs forms.

Also included illegal imports of duck blood and hawthorn fruit, which I have no idea what that is.

But these are sold to customers, restaurants. I guess it's a pretty small group of people that order up duck guts and goose guts, I guess.

So these six charged in federal court, importing, storing and selling hundreds of pounds of illegal food items because federal law prohibits importing any raw poultry products from China. So it's not specific. Duck guts are hereby prohibited. I wish it were, because that'd be far more entertaining.

Nope, it's raw poultry products from China and the fruit.

The hawthorn fruit also restricted.

I have no idea why.

According to the complaint, 1,966 cartons of goose and duck intestines were shipped

from China to the port of Long Beach here locally, and they were identified as nail clippers,
