Welcome to the year-end episode of Wheels Off.

This week we will be replaying the very first ever episode of this little podcast, Wheels Off,

wherein I speak with my friend and hero, Roseanne Cash.

I feel like it's a great way to wrap up this year, our first year, as a podcast.

I say our because it's not just me.

I have a team, Kirsten and Nick at Revoiced Media, along with a few other people that they line up to make this all come together and seem

really professional. My manager, Wes Kidd, helps a lot. But mostly, it's just me wagging around

this dumb little Zoom recorder with a couple of lavalier microphones and sitting on

floors of bedrooms in people's houses, you know, squeaky rocking chairs on people's front

porches. And that's really the thing that I love about Wheels Off and the thing that I think separates it from other

podcasts that I've listened to. And I know there are many. There are an almost infinite number

of podcasts in this world now.

But this one has been a lot of fun for me to make over the course of this last year.

I didn't know what to expect.

I had been avoiding this vocation for quite a while before I finally dove into it. And when I finally did, the thing that

excited me was just this, having this simple conversation about creativity and the creative life

with people whom I admire, people who inspire me, people who make me want to ask them, how do you do it?

And I feel like I've learned so much.

For what it's worth, I've never made one penny off of wheels off.

That may change in this coming year.
