That's when they got wheels off.

We think we know the people on our television.

They're there in our living room, in a box, looking at us, laughing, saying funny things, walking around.

They're a part of our family. They're a part of our lives. Of course we know them. I've had it happen before

that someone I knew only from a television show that I watched showed up in a dressing room

after a gig one night. And I looked at him, this actor, and I said, oh, I know you, thinking that I did, thinking it was someone from my life

whose name I was not able to place momentarily, which happens, sadly.

I haven't treated my brain as gently as I should have over the years.

In fact, I had never met this person before.

I just was looking at him and

assuming that he was someone that I was close friends with because I had spent hours of my life

in his company. That exact thing is true of my guest on this episode of Wheels Off. I have spent

hours of my life in his company. And that was even before I met him.

But I'm lucky enough to be friends with Rain Wilson in real life. And he's not the person from the TV.

It's easy to think that that's who they are, because they're there on our TV
