Hey everybody, it's Joe Lampel, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner,

and thanks for listening today to the

Joe Gardner show. Well today it's a focus on leaves, tree leaves to be specific and of

course I know last week we had a whole conversation around five of the biggest mistakes around tree care.

And this isn't about mistakes. This is really about celebrating all the good that comes from tree leaves.

Now, you may be scratching your head at this point saying,

what are you talking about?

Other than the wonderful beauty that we're experiencing right now,

which is probably why the timing of this episode is what it is.

It's just gorgeous outside this fall, and I look forward to this season so much, yes, because

of the leaf color change, no doubt about that.

But I'm the guy that really looks forward to once they all fall

and they're on the ground, because then I can use them and

collect them and get them going as compost and mulch for my garden and my landscape beds and we're going to talk a lot about that today

But before we do that I thought it might be interesting to just back up a second

and let's go through the timeline of what happens to get to that point where they're on the ground.

And I know many of you kind of dread that time of year

because you see it as a great big mess.
