Hey everybody, it's Joe Lample,

and thanks for listening today to the Joe

Gardner's show. Well today it's another first for this podcast series. It's an

entire episode recorded on location for a recent episode we were filming for growing a greener world.

That's the television show I host on PBS.

And we did this episode for season 9 upcoming for the television show on Japanese maples but it was also around

the story of the two brothers that started this very successful mostly mail order

Japanese maple nursery.

And I nearly always take my recording equipment with me

whenever we go on a television shoot

hoping to find that time in our hectic schedule to sit down with our guests to do a

podcast because they're always great topics and the people are always so

interesting and by the time we've been with them for a few days I really know

their story so it's a great

opportunity to do an episode but the time never permits itself unfortunately

it rarely happens but this time thanks to some late afternoon clouds that rolled in to mess with

our lighting for the television shoot, the microphone is blind to good or bad lighting, so it doesn't

matter when you're just doing audio.
