episode and this one is going to be a fun one as well. It's about how to attract and

protect native pollinators to our gardens and landscapes. I know that's a topic that's

all near and dear to many of our hearts and we talk about it a good bit and we'll continue

to do so.

But this time I wanted to go back to catch up with a friend that I made a few years back when we were

filming an episode for Growing a Greener World.

That's the television show I host and produce on PBS.

And we did an episode called Bringing Bees Back.

We were really focused on native bees and the plight that they were up against as far

as some of them facing extinction, especially some of the native bumble bees.

And you know with all the attention going to honey bees, we thought it was really

time to shine the spotlight back on the ones that are even more in peril than

honey bees, though native bees. And we've lost some of them and others are on the verge of going extinct.

And so we wanted to raise the awareness there and we did that with Eric with the Xerci Society.

And that is a phenomenal organization that is dedicated to preserving invertebrates of all types.
