that we might be fruitful. We can't produce fruit on our own. We can't make that fruit happen

just because we decide we're going to grunt it out and be really loving or be

really joyful, but rather we're going to dwell on the Word of God and let it permeate our thoughts,

meditate on the Word of God, that fruitfulness might actually be produced in us through being

tethered, tethered to the love of Christ.

and how to see the fruit of love played out in our lives as Christ followers.

This week, we're going to talk about joy.

The fruit of the spirit is listed out for us in Galatians chapter 5, verses 22 and 23.

But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Against such things, there is no law.

Paul is reminding us that that fruit is because the spirit produces that in our lives.
