Welcome back to the Marketing Your Business podcast. So I got to let you in on a little perfuffle,

a little situation, if you will, that I found myself into because, well, quite frankly,

I was being an idiot and it bit me in the butt. So here's the deal. One of the things that we

recently did, you probably heard me talking about it

earlier in the week, was we hosted a fundraiser. And it was called the marketing forecast live.

And long story short, during the hurricane that ripped through Houston and then ripped through

Florida, we had two members on our team who were greatly impacted by this.

You know, they're both in the thick of things,

and one of them actually had her house completely destroyed.

So it was just heartbreaking because we saw and experienced the whole thing as a team,

and we saw their updates in Slack and on Facebook.

And I just, I don't know, I can't speak for the whole team, but I know for

me personally, like as somebody who's leading our team, I just, I felt helpless. Like I really

wanted to do something. And I just, I didn't know what. I didn't know what I could do or how I could

help other than, you know, maybe flying down there. But even then, that was just, at the time, it just wasn't feasible. We offered our house. We did everything that we could to help. But at the end of the day,

what I realized was the greatest way that you and I can help anybody is by making a bunch of money
